Thelma M. Waters, 93, entered into rest Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of John Waters. Thelma was born in Richmond, Va. on April 24, 1921, to the late Joseph and Fairy (Brown) Goode. Thelma loved working with children. She was a nanny as well as a midwife and Chapel Care Worker during her years of employment. Thelma enjoyed being around her family and was a lover of Gospel Music. Thelma leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter, Mary E. Clark; two sons, Abraham T. Goode and Harry Goode; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Thelma was preceded in death by four sisters, Leola, Rachel, Helen and LoraMae; and a brother, William Henry. A viewing will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Boulding Mortuary, Inc., 471 Madison Ave., York, PA 17404, from 10 to 11 a.m. and the funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Steve Schmuck officiating. Boulding Mortuary, Inc. is handling arrangements.
