Irene E. Ferrell

Church Hill - Irene E. Ferrell, 64, of 713 Elm Springs Road, died Wednesday (Oct 18, 1995) at her home following a long illness.

She was a life long resident of Sullivan and Hawkins Counties and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by one son, Keith Ferrell; her parents, Andy L. and Mary Lawson King.

Surviving are her husband, Amos C. 'Jake' Ferrell, Church Hill; one daughter, Thelma Kay Williams, Big Stone Gap, Va., two sons, Monte Ferrell, Church Hill, and Calvin Ferrell, Rogersville; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Betty Bell Baker, Big Stone Gap, Va., one half sister, Merble hayes, Detroit, Mich.; three brothers, Jimmy King, Big Stone Gap, Va., Henry King, Salisbury, N.C. and Don King, Tampa, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home, Church Hill, and anytime at the residence.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Carl Ferrell officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Liberty Hill Cemetery.
