Anne Ree (Binkley) (Wittmann) Connell was born on January 6, 1883 in Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of Captain Henry Clay BInkley (1847–1934) and Ree Jane (McGee) Binkley (1848–1928).
She was married 1st on June 12, 1928 in Williamson County to George Wittmann. She was married 2nd about 1929 as the 2nd wife of John Joseph Connell (1880-1947), who was a night switchman at Nashville Terminals.
A communicant of Saint Mary's Catholic Church and living at 902 Chicamauga in Nashville, Anne was 49 years old, married and had alcoholic poisoning when she had a heart attack and died at home on April 18, 1932.
Survivors included her husband John, her father Captain H C Binkley, brother Joe H Binkley and nieces Gladys Binkley and Mary Binkley.
Funeral Services were held on April 20th at the Connell home, and burial was in the family burial ground near Hermitage {and one of the Pallbearers listed in her obituary was Oscar Sanders, who was her step-son-in-law}.
