He was a hard worker and usually gave it everything he had. His most recent job was O'Reilly Auto Parts. He had also worked at Dillon's, Orscheln's, & Westlake. Robert usually had more than one job at a time even finding little odd jobs to keep him busy in the meantime.
He loved his sons, Matt & Zach. He was an avid lover of horses and the outside. He was a fun loving person and was willing to help out everyone he could. Bobby attended the First Baptist Church in Holcomb.
Survivors include two sons Matthew Bennett and Zackary Bennett both of Garden City, Kansas; his girlfriend Jenny Robbins of Garden City, Kansas; his best friend & ex-wife Tammie Bennett of Garden City; parents Robert & Kathy Bennett of Howells, Nebraska and Ed & Connie Gallaway of Garden City; four brothers William "Cody" & Christi Huckins of Fitzgerald, Georgia, Tony & Cori Bennett of McPherson, Kansas, Jermey Bennett of McPherson, Kansas, and Russell Bennett of Wichita, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his mother Susan Johnson.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Holcomb, Kansas, 403 Emmanuel Drive, with Pastor Jon Sanders presiding. Services will also be livestreamed on the First Baptist Church of Holcomb Facebook page starting at 9:50 a.m. The family will be leaving the church at 1:00 p.m. to travel to Syracuse, Kansas for graveside services at the Syracuse Cemetery.
