Funeral services for Mrs. O.U. Callaway, 37, who was killed by a bolt of lightning at her home on route 2, Palestine, were held Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
The services were conducted by the Rev. Schochler and the Rev. W.L. Martin, with burial in the Broyles Cemetery.
Mrs. Callaway was believed to have gone to the pasture to look for a cow during a rain. Her body was found near a tree.
Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Jack Perry, Houston; father, Bowen Huffman, route 2; grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Graser, Palestine; one grandchild; a brother, Claude Huffman, Cayuga; and five sisters, Mrs. Ollie Bell and Mrs. Winifred Nealt, route 2, Mrs. Paul McKinzie, Tennessee Colony, Mrs. Marvin Jones, Cayuga and Mrs. Claude Jones, Winnesboro. Mississippi.
