Reyes Griego, age 89, passed away on Sunday October 31, 2021.
Reyes was born in El Cedro, NM on November 9, 1931 but was a longtime resident of Albuquerque.
Reyes was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Reyes enjoyed spending time with her family and was loved by so many.
Reyes had a smile that would brighten your day and will be deeply missed.
Reyes was preceded in death by her father, Reymundo Griego, mother, Juanita Griego, husband, Carlos Griego, son, Emil R. Griego, son-in-law, Mario Carrillo and many nieces, nephews and siblings.
Reyes is survived by her children, Carlos Griego Jr., Sally Carrillo and Grace Griego, daughter-in-law, Karen Griego, four grandchildren, Joseph Carrillo, Rebecca Ulibarrí and her husband, Leroy Ulibarrí, Victoria Griego and Eric Griego, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Los Palomas and Hospice care.
Viewing will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church located at 9502 4th St. NW Albuquerque, NM on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Rosary begins at 8:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m. Reyes will be laid to rest at San Carlos Cemetery located at 4300 Alameda Path, Albuquerque, NM. Pallbearers will be Joseph Carrillo, Roger Nieto, Leroy Ulibarrí Jr., Andrew Nieto, Robert Ulibarrí and Leroy Ulibarrí Sr. Honorary Pallbearer will be Leah Ulibarrí.
