John Cline, sr., whose illness from the weakness of old age has been mentioned in these columns, died at 6 oclock last evening at the home of his son Oliver and family at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 6 days. The funeral will be held at 2 oclock Sunday afternoon in Grace U. B. church, the sermon by Rev. H. G. Pence. Interment will be in the Bremen cemetery.
John Cline was born in Westmoreland county, Pa., May 26, 1826. At the age of six years he moved with his parents to Ohio, and about 1845 came to this vicinity, of which he has ever since been a resident. He was united in marriage Feb. 20, 1851, to Catherine Ringle, who died ten years ago. She was born in Seneca county, Ohio. They lived on the farm now owned by Oliver Cline until they moved to Bremen in 1883. Four daughters and three sons were born to them of whom only two sons survive, Oliver of Bremen and Edward of South Bend.

Cullen and daughter, Mrs. Jackson Boyd, Greencastle, Edward Cline and family, Josiah Cline and family, Dr. and Mrs. C. C. BonDurant, Mr. and Mrs. Land Annis, South Bend, James Annis and wife, Lakeville, Oscar Reed and wife, Nappanee. The funeral was at Grace U. B. church and was largely attended.
