Joe passed away on October 25, 2021, surrounded by family. A burial service will be held on November 20, 2021, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale, Florida.

Born to Amado & Amelia Ventura, of Rome, N.Y. in June 1929, Joe attended Utica Free Academy. He later met the love of his life, Mary Snyder and they were married on September 3, 1951.

He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in January 1951 and trained as Senior Auto Mechanic at Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming and stationed in Limestone, Maine. He was honorably discharged as Staff Sargent in January 1955.

The Ventura family settled in North Utica, N.Y. where they raised their six children. Joe was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and Lions Club of America.

His illustrious construction career began in Utica as a member of the Bricklayers Union. He advanced to Vice President of Charles Gaetano Construction. Later becoming Vice President of Vincent J. Fasano Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, FL. He and Mary moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1981 where he managed construction jobs until his retirement. They enjoyed their retirement years overlooking Fort Lauderdale Beach until Mary's passing in October 2003.

Joe was an avid golfer and member of the Sunrise Golf & Country Club in Sunrise, FL. He was a master wood craftsman, and other countless hobbies including his love of drawing with pen and ink.

Joe is survived by his sister, Jeanette Penree of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., his six children, Amy Mazzotta (Carmen) of Niskayuna, N.Y., Diane Ventura (Skye Mark McKenzie) of Los Angeles, CA., Steven Ventura of Fort Lauderdale, FL., Sharon Ventura (Ismael Vasquez) of Jupiter, FL., Bruce Ventura (Connie) of Natick, MA., and Kenneth Ventura (Mechelle) of Wellington, FL.; as well as 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
