He was a hunter and trapper and in the early 1900's, hunted mountain lions in the mountains of Idaho. A beaver pelt which he trapped won second prize at the International Fur Show in St. Louis, Mo., in 1927.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Best, two sons, Lloyd M. Best of National City and Ivan F. Best, of Alvarado, Calif., and a daughter, Mrs Rilla M. Anderson, of Helena, Mont.
