Sarah Salome Keefer was the daughter of Joseph Keefer and
Christina Gibble. Abt 1834 she married Jacob Gish in Dauphin Co, Pa. They moved to Juanita Co Pa and then Perry Co, Pa. Some of their children moved to kansas. She died on a visit to them.

"Salome, wife of Jacob Gish, 9 September, aged 71 years, 9 months, 19 days. Buried in North River Brethren (Bethel) cemetery. Born in Pennsylvania, came her a few months ago with her husband aged 75 to visit their son Doctor Gish in Abilene."
