She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Edna L Wright- Simmons. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for the past five years and served as an usher. She is survived by three sons, Michael (Jennifer) Simmons of Mine Hill, NJ, David Waal and Tyrone (Patricia) Waal - both of Lake Hopatcong, NJ; two sisters, Rita (Timothy) Curry and Sandra Witherspoon of Milledgeville, GA; three brothers, Bennie Simmons, Jr., Kevin Simmons - both of Milledgeville, and Wilbur (Tasha) Simmons of Greensboro, NC; fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
