Alonzo Jay Lymon, 38, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at Cooper Green Hospital in Birmingham. He was a 1987 graduate and honor student of Baldwin County High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He enjoyed art, reading, music, writing poetry, solving puzzles, fishing, basketball and football, his family said.

He is survived by his children, Shanteria Williams of Bay Minette, Alonzo Jaylyn Lymon and Isaiah Jayshawn Lymon of Birmingham; father, Julius Lymon of Bromley; brothers, Julius "Arnold" Lymon of Charlotte, N.C., and Jonathan Lymon of Bromley; three sisters, Audrey Gary of Albany, N.Y., Aleta Lymon of Monticello, N.Y., and Alisande Lymon of Jeffersonville, N.Y.; and companion Susan Stallworth of Birmingham.

The funeral will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Magnolia Baptist Church in Bromley. Burial follows at Crossroad Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Arrangements are by Baldwin Community Chapel in Bay Minette.
