NEW CASTLE--Funeral services were held today for George W. Bale, 83, who died Wednesday evening in Henry County Hospital following a brief illness. He was a retired foreman at the Chrysler Corp. plant.
A former resident of Louisville, Ky., he came to New Castle in 1913. He was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge of Louisville, the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis, the First Baptist Church and Knights Templar of New Castle.
Surviving are the widow, Iva; a son, Maurice, Muncie; a grandson; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in South Mound Cemetery.
