Tulia, Texas—Opal McCaslin, 86, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021, in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 15, 2021 in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Sam Espinoza officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

Opal was born on September 23, 1935, in Lubbock to John Thomas and Amanda Green. She attended Memphis High School and later moved to Tulia. She married the love of her life, Kenneth McCaslin in February 1953. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She loved sports and watching her grandkids play in their sporting activities. She always had a house full of kids and they were very special to her. They called her Granny. She loved her Dallas Cowboys. She loved yard work and was constantly in the yard, she never stopped working.

She is preceded in death by her parents, eight sisters and two

brothers, her husband of 59 years, Kenneth and her grandson, Josh Richardson.

She is survived by her two sons: Kenny McCaslin and wife J'Lee of Tulia and Larry McCaslin and wife Carla of Tulia and six grandchildren: Shannon Nolen, Geoffry McCaslin, Zachery McCaslin and wife Dee Ann, Andrew McCaslin, Tyler McCaslin and wife Jessica, Brandi Culwell and husband Nathan, Kayla Engelhardt and 13 great grandchildren.
