A lifelong resident of Potts Camp, Mississippi, Randy was born on January 6, 1968, in Oxford, to Betty and Clyde Wright Alderson. He entered into Heaven's gates on November 10, 2021, at the age of 53.

Randy is survived by his mother, Betty Alderson, brother Ricky Alderson, sister-in-law Marie Westmoreland Alderson, niece Leanna Alderson Stacks (Jason), niece Deanna Alderson Waugh (Rodney), two great nieces, Hailey Stacks and Emma Kate Waugh, one great nephew, Jon Luke Waugh. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Wright Alderson, great niece Anna Kate Waugh, grandparents George and Myrtle Alderson and Warner "Tag" and Ollie Mansel.

A member of First Baptist Church in Potts Camp, Randy was an avid Ole Miss Rebels fan and a self-proclaimed brother of Elvis Presley. Randy spent most of his days on the family farm, riding his 4-wheeler and checking his cows. He loved following his brothers, every footstep, whether it be cutting and loading firewood, hauling hay, feeding cows, or riding in the big truck. He was the family politician and never failed to greet everyone me met with a hug, a kiss, and a huge smile.

Services for Randy will be held at First Baptist Church in Potts Camp, with a visitation on Friday, November 12, from 5:00-8:00 pm, and funeral services on Saturday, November 13, at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Alderson Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jason Stacks, Rodney Waugh, John Westmoreland, Chuck Thomas, Pudge Boren, Scott Mansel, Roy Cook, and Mark Jarrett. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ralph Clayton, Jon Luke Waugh, Logan Stacks, Lonnie Cook, and Niel Mansel.
