Billie Harold Curry August 29, 1935 ~ November 08, 2021
Billie Harold Curry, 86, of Russellville, AR, passed away, Monday, November 8, 2021, at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, AR. The son of Robert Harold and Lovice Lorene (Church) Curry, he was born August 29, 1935, in Retta, AR. He married Myrtle Mae Curry, on October 25, 1959.

Bill was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of Korea, and later worked as a foreman with Stockton Metropolitan Transit Division until his retirement. He will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union and the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, water skiing, camping, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Dale Curry.

Billie is survived by his wife of 62 years, Myrtle Curry of Russellville; his two sons, Robert and Sheryl Curry of Martinsburg, WV; David Curry of Russellville; five grandchildren, Jared Curry of Martinsburg, WV; Amanda Barela of Stockton, CA; Elisabeth Bretz (Michael) of Great Falls, MT; Sarah Vogel (Tyler) of Martinsburg, WV; Michael Curry of Russellville; seven great grandchildren, Arieanna and Davina Barela; Jack Gumm; Jade (Peanut) Soria; Keith, Darcy and Rosalind (Rose) Vogel.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 12, 2021, at Humphrey Funeral Chapel. Dr. Chris Russell will officiate. Burial will be at Forks of the Creek in Hector, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Military honors will be provided by Rogers-Rye Post #2283 of the Veterans of Foreign War. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Thursday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
