Mr. Billy Gene Branch, age 86, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021, following an extended illness.

Mr. Branch was born May 17, 1935, in Dublin, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Otis G. Branch and Adell Risch Branch, his loving wife of many years, Mary Faye Carter, his son, Robert James Branch, and a granddaughter, Joni Marie Barwick. He was retired as a Material Support Supervisor from Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Union Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for many years.

He was a man that truly enjoyed fishing but his greatest loves in life were his wife and his family. His life was devoted to being a leader for his family & church. Mr. Gene was a man of few words but well respected in his community and will be remembered as a godly man who took pride in being a Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Brother.

He is survived by his daughters, Debra (David Baggett) Barwick of East Dublin and Amy (Randy) Thompson of Dublin, six grandchildren, Jordy (Britney) Barwick of East Dublin, Casey (Erica) Mimbs of Danville, Ryan (Raigan) Cheek of Allentown, Jake (Cassidy) Branch of Lizella, Josh (Stevie Rae) Branch of Dublin, and Michael( Kathryn) Thompson of Warner Robins, five great-grandchildren, Brianna (Tyler) Franks, Braylin Stephens Tyler Stephens, Jack Mimbs, and Murphy Jo Branch; sisters, Gloria Smith, and Marilyn Collins; brother, Bobby Branch (Dorothy); and his best friend, his dog, Rambo.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Union Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Jordy Barwick will officiate.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

His grandchildren, Casey Mimbs, Ryan Cheek, Jake Branch, Josh Branch, Tyler Stephens, Tyler Franks, and Michael Thompson will serve as pallbearers.
