Robert Wade "Bob" Allison, 73, of Allen, Oklahoma passed away Friday, November 5th, 2021 in Branson, Missouri.
Mr. Allison was born on August 1st, 1948 in Ada, Oklahoma to Perry Wade and Lillian Ella (Darby) Allison. He grew up in Baytown, Texas and Conway, Oklahoma, attending and graduating from Byng High School in 1966.
Following high school, Mr. Allison enlisted in the United States Army. Upon his discharge, he went to work at Brockway Glass for eight years, and then to Valley View Hospital. He then went to work for the Chickasaw Nation at the Carl Albert Hospital, and later the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center, where he worked for 23 years until his retirement.
Mr. Allison was a proud Veteran and Chickasaw citizen. He was a great guitarist and played a variety of instruments. He wrote many songs and played at many different venues as an adult. He was a great artist and would often draw pictures for his grandchildren. He loved being a grandpa and always attended sports events, school programs, birthdays, and other activities.
Mr. Allison was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Lillian Allison, and his brother, William "Don" Allison.
He is survived by his sister, Tanya Allison of Frederick, Maryland, three children, Calvin Allison of Allen, Oklahoma, Tandi Ray and husband Allen of Ada, Oklahoma, and Tesha Clowers; grandchildren, Kyler Ray and wife Malena, Peyton Ray and partner Chance Prewitt, Dusty Ray and wife Rebecca, and Dianne Davis; two great-grandchildren, Blayne and Lori Ray; two nephews, Heath Allison, and Chad Allison and wife Sarah; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Allison, Kyler Ray, Dusty Ray, Allen Ray, Heath Allison, and Barney Mullins.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Chance Prewitt, Chad Allison, and Tristen Allison.
