Donovan Carter Brashear, age 7, passed away tragically on October 30, 2021. He was born on April 11, 2014 to his parents, Kurt and Priscilla.

Donovan lived a short life on this earth but definitely left a lasting impression on everyone that he met. He was a 2nd grader at Woodland Elementary. He loved school, but mainly hanging out with friends and math. His friends, family, and teachers loved his outgoing spirit, adventurous endeavors, fearless attitude, positive energy, funny thoughts with actions to match, and that loving spirit to lift you up when you were down. He lived for the moment and made sure everyone around was having a good time with him. Donovan enjoyed all the simple things life had to offer, especially cosmic brownies after dinner every night. He Loved playing video games – a few favorites were Fortnite, Minecraft, and Plants vs Zombies. Donovan was an all-around sports fan! He enjoyed playing football and baseball with his dad and his friends. If he wasn't doing that you could find him at the lake - fishing, riding wave runners, or just enjoying the water and swimming. He loved competition, whether it be board games, sports, or playing on his phone. He loved to bake and was really good at it and enjoyed cuddling up with his dog, Pierre. He was the kind of person that would try anything and thought he could do it all. His huge imagination kept us all entertained.

He was a true inspiration to us all on how to make the best out of every moment. He has left us with so many wonderful memories and life lessons to cherish the rest of our lives.

He will be Forever loved and missed by his family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 13, from 1-2pm, service 2pm, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133.
