Henry Capus "Monk" Fleming Jr. Age 78, of Ninth Street passed away Thursday evening at Lexington Memorial Hospital, after declining health. He was born September 6, 1931, in Lexington to Henry Capus and Ollie Greer Fleming. He was retired from Lexington Furniture Industries. In addition to his parents, his wife Esther Everhart Fleming January 7, 2003 and a brother Williard Capus Fleming April 7, 2007 preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held 2p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Piedmont Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Sanford officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.

H.C. is survived by three daughters, Marie Childress, Rhonda Varker and husband Joe, and Cheryl Morris and husband Buddy; and one son Kenny Fleming and wife LaVonda all of Lexington. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 12:30p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home of Rhonda Varker 2607 Hoover Road Lexington.
