Margaret C Bowen passed away peacefully on October 10 at the Nottingham RHCF. Margaret was born in Shenandoah, Iowa. She graduated LaSalle high school, Niagara Falls in 1944. Margaret was a very accomplished woman. She taught elementary school and high school choral music in the Niagara Falls Public Schools. Her Madrigal Singers in LaSalle high school toured Rumania. She directed the Rainbow Singers for 30 years and the Bacon Memorial church choirs where she was a member for 80 years. Margaret founded and directed the Niagara Falls Community Music School. Margaret was an active participant in the Presbyterian Church and the western NY Presbytery. Margaret made her own clothes, doll clothes, knitted, hiked, camped and traveled. While living at the Nottingham, she managed the resident store. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Jonathan, and granddaughter, Heather Costello Bartman, and survived by sons, Jonathan Jr, Glenn, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
