Heaven gained a very special angel today.
Virginia "Ginny" L. Skywark of East Peoria, IL, formerly of Cape Canaveral Florida, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at her home after a long courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on August 20, 1934 in El Paso, IL to Joseph and Altheda (Scott) Weber. She was married to Frank Andrews and Kenneth Patterson who both preceded her in death. She married Carl Skywark on June 22, 1978 who passed away in 2005.

Also preceding her in death were her daughters, Erin and Tara Andrews; her mother and father; and brothers Darrel and Ronald Weber.

Ginny has left behind here on earth her dear daughter, Dawn Dunkin (partner Jim Jones) of Peoria, IL and son Keith Patterson of Sonoma, CA, along with 2 grandchildren, Molly (Matt) Koehler, Andrew (Kara) Holmes, and five great grandchildren, Grayson and Finley Koehler, and Bradley, Kurtis and Ava Holmes. Also her brother Larry (Kacee) Weber and sister Sondra Kurtz and several special nieces and nephews, Bob (Diane) Kurtz, Pete (Rhonda)Kurtz, Shari (David) Cooper, Stacey (Jim)
Lauro, Tory Weber, Kim (Linda) Weber, Kevin (Diane) Weber, Kelly (Pat) Sarver. She was also loved by several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She retired from International Paper in 1978 where she made many dear life long friends who still gather together today.

While making her home in Florida she owned and operated "Ginny's Bingo Hall". Volunteers and players alike became her family.

Ginny was full of life and lived it to the fullest. She traveled the world where her fashion statement became known around the globe.

A celebration of life will be held on November 7, 2021 at 2:00 at Peoria Heights Congregational Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will be held at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria on Monday November 8, 2021 at 11:00 am.

Rest in Peace Ginny, you will be missed by many but forever in our hearts.
