He is survived by his wife, Lila; a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Willingham of Chicago Heights; two sons, James of Grant Park and Steven of Harvey; two sisters, Irene Michaels and Juanita Wilburn, both of Alabama; three brothers, Billy, Coleman and John, all of Alabama; and five grandchildren.
