Brad Barton
AUBURN - Brad Barton, 47, of Auburn passed away at 3 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at St. John's Hospital.He was born in Carlinville on Sept. 4, 1960, the son of Earl C. and Joyce Oller Barton.

Brad was a member of Chatham United Methodist Church. He was a salvage inspector with the Illinois Secretary of State Police and was employed with the secretary of state's office for 23 years. He was a member of the Sunset Inn Thursday Night Golf League at Pasfield and SEIU. 73. He donated more than 10 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross. He was a member of the Organ and Tissue Donor Network. He was a Lanphier graduate of 1979. Brad also worked part time at Friar Tuck for six years.

Surviving are his two daughters, Rachel L. Barton and Sarah E. Barton and her fiance, Joe Demma; grandson, Vincente Earl Demma; Brad's beloved companion, Jan Miller; and his mother, Joyce Barton, all of Springfield; a sister, Brenda Barton and companion, Doug Kay; and a niece, Summer R. Barton-Taylor, all of Milwaukee.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl; and uncle, Gale Barton.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at Bisch and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Sara Isbell will officiate. Visitation will be held there from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or Chatham United Methodist Church.
