Mrs. Violet Paul Dies Suddenly
Mrs. Violet Paul, wife of Howard J. Paul of Maiden Rock, died suddenly Wednesday afternoon. She was rushed to Butte by the Victor Chemical Co. ambulance from their trailer home at the phosphate mine, but was pronounced dead on arrival at the Butte hospital.
Mrs. Paul recently was injured severely in an auto accident on Moose Creek Hill, near Maiden Rock, but that did not figure in her death, Dr. E.J. Paulsen, Silver Bow County coroner, said. Deputies Carl Hastie and Don Miller also were called.
A native Walkerville, she was the daughter of the late James Johns and the former May Williams. She lived in the Mining City most of her life, and attended local schools.
Besides the widower, the survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Johns, and a sister, Mrs. Elsie Belangie, Walkerville; mother-in-law, Mrs. Caroline Paul of Lewistown; father-in-law, Joe Paul of Sun River; aunt Mrs. Alma Williams of Laurel; nephews and nieces, Mr. and Mrs. James Dunn, Mr. and Mrs. James Sullivan, Billy and James Johns, Walkerville, and several others as well as cousins in the state. Also, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Valentine of Boulder, John Paul of Newport, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Paul and Mrs. Alice Lefebre, all of Great Falls.
Duggan Merrill Mortuary is arranging last rites.
