Mary Carolyn Bainter, 79, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 2, 2021 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mary was born January 23, 1942 in Muncie and was the daughter of the late Leo L. "Cap" Lafferty and Ruth M. (Jones) Lafferty.
Mary was a graduate of Muncie Central High School. She retired in 2008 from Apria Healthcare as a Medical Necessity Clerk. Mary enjoyed cross stitching, making crafts and gardening.
Mary is survived by two sons Mark Thompson (Debbie) and Brian Thompson; a granddaughter Lauryn Thompson; her sister Margaret Ann Haller and her brother Joe Lafferty (Beverly).
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Leo L. "Cap" Lafferty and Ruth M. (Jones) Lafferty; her husband Thomas S. Bainter; her grandson Markus Thompson; her brother Francis Lafferty and a brother-in-law George Haller.
Graveside Services for Mary will be held Friday, November 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Beech Grove Cemetery.
