Peacefully, at his daughter Sarah's home, on the evening of Sunday, October 31, 2021, just short of his 85th birthday. Dearly loved husband of the late Elizabeth. Will be missed by his daughter Sarah and her husband Aaron, his son James and his wife Rebecca, and his grandsons Flynn and Paddy (who called him GrandCrank). Due to Covid restrictions, a private service will be held on Friday 5 November. John will then be reunited with his dear wife Elizabeth at Urenui Cemetery.
