She was the daughter of Arthur and Margaret E. (Barton) Bernard. On Oct 7, 1961, she married Dennis Freeman, who survives in Coldwater.
Also surviving are two sons: Mike and David Freeman, both Celina; a sister, Shirley (Jesse) Steinke, Coldwater; in-laws: JoAnn Freeman, New Bremen, and Carol Freeman, Celina; and eight grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers-in-law: Roger and Dan Freeman.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. During her working years, she worked as a secretary at various places and also spent time in Washington D.C. working with the Chamber of Commerce.
Private burial will take place in St. Elizabeth Cemetery at a later date.
