GAINESBORO - Ms. Bonnie (Adams) Stewart, age 69, of the Indian Creek Community of Jackson Co., TN passed away surrounded by her loving family at her home on Friday, October 19th, 2018.
Bonnie Elise Adams was born in Clay Co., Tennessee on Friday, September 09th, 1949 to the late Thomas Cordell & Delia Mae (Scott) Adams. She was united in marriage to the late Gene Alfred Stewert, Sr on November 15th, 1980 and preceded her in death on December 12th, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her son: John Howard Dixon on December 24th, 1995, brothers: Sammy Houston & Jerry Martin Adams, and sister: Bessie Darlene Shaw. Bonnie was a homemaker, had worked at Crotty Corp of Gainesboro, and was a loving grandmother to Jonathon, Hunter, Kayley, and Kayden and to all of her nieces and nephews, whom she loved unconditionally. She was a member of the Haydenburg Church of Christ.
Bonnie is survived by her daughters: Tina Smith, Delia "Dee" Stewart, and Gina Stewart all of Gainesboro, TN, 4 brothers: Jimmy Adams of Livingston, TN, James Adams (Geneva Scott), Kevin Adams, and Tuffy (Michelle) Adams of Celina, TN, 4 sisters: Winni (David) Threet, Sara "Liz" (Danny) Coby, Catherine (Cecil) Ledbetter, & Anne (Charles) Lee all of Celina, TN, 4 grandchildren: Jonathan Terry Smith, Hunter Franklin Stewart, Kayley Stewart, and Kayden Pippin and many nieces, nephews, family, and special friends & caretakers.
Bonnie's wishes were for her remains to be donated to the Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN to potentially save lives in the future.
