at her residence. She was born on January 24, 1923 in Mecklenburg County,
a daughter of Pink Lee and Pauline Wallace Bandy. Naomi was a member of
the Union Grove Baptist Church in Huntersville. She was a devoted mother,
grandmother and wife.
Survivors include her children, Roger L. Simpson and wife Sharon of Charlotte,
and Mary A. Crisco of Charlotte; siblings, Howard L. Bandy, Bill L. Bandy, and
Willie Mae Arnold, all of Charlotte: and grandchildren, Roger L. Simpson Jr.
and Denise Crisco. both of Charlotte. In addition to her parents, she was pre-
ceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lee Simpson, and by her stepmother,
Mary Lou Bandy.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1,
2003 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with The Reverend Alan Beard officiating.
Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at McEwen Funeral Service, Charlotte Chapel on
Friday, October 31, 2003 from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations
may be made to The American Heart Association, 222 South Church Street, Suite
303, Charlotte, NC 28202.
