Services Friday For Glass Expert
Memorial services for Walter Amsler, former Toledo glass technologist, who died Saturday in Fort Myers, Fla., will be Friday afternoon in the Bennett Mortuary. He was 63.
Mr. Amsler, a consulting glass technologist and engineer, lived at 1635 Watova Road until he moved to Washington, Pa. two years ago. He had been associated with the Owens-Illinois and Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Companies and worked independently in the glass industry. He invented many significant processes in glass manufacture.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary H. Amsler, Washington; a son, Arthur W., and a daughter, Louise E., both of Toledo, and two stepdaughters, Mary H. and Margaret A. Deming, both of Washington.
His ashes were to be brought to Toledo tomorrow.
