Born January 10, 1928 in Ada, Oklahoma to Otis and Viola (Bennett) Blundell. He married Bettie Morgan on February 6, 1950. Melvin served in the Marine Corp during WW2. He went to Okmulgee Tech for auto mechanics. He worked as a auto mechanic, dealerships until he opened his own shop B and M Auto Clinic until he retired. Then worked at his sons carpet store. He worked up until his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bettie and a daughter Alma Jean Blondell. Two brothers; Fred Randolph, Don Leneave and two sisters; Nellie Blundell and Joann Best.
Survived by his children; Virginia Glass, Bud Blondell and Karren Griffin and husband Johnny.
Grandchildren: Shyrel Sanford and husband Brandon; Michael Glass and wife Sebrinia; Chase Blondell; Colby Blondell and wife Rikki: Great Grandchildren: Brice Sanford, Haley Glass, Brayden, Kenlee and Kylee Blondell.
Sisters: Emma Walker, Joy Potter and Peggy Smith.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Friday, November 5, 2021 at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will follow with Military Honors at the Salt Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
