He was born in Spartansburg February 17, 1906, was raised and educated in Hatchtown, Pa., and lived in West Spring Creek most of his life.
Mr. Bacon worked at he Arrow Supply Co. during World War II. He worked at the Crawford Woods and Seed Mill for many years and, later, at the Corry Jamestown Manufacturing Co., where he retired 20 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Potenski Bacon, whom he married September 27, 1943; a sister, Mrs. Clarence Leola Drayer, Union City; and a brother, W. Albert Steadman, North East.
Friends may call at he Bracken Funeral Home, Corry, Wednesday from 2 ot 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to services Thursday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Joseph Bodie officiating.
Burial will be in East Branch Cemetery.
