KADELL. Democrat News, Jerseyville, Illinois. 24 September 1959: Christian Science services were held at Jacoby Brothers funeral home Sunday afternoon, 20 September at three o'clock for Charles Edward Kadell, retired carpenter of Jerseyville, whose death occurred at twelve thirty-five o'clock Friday morning at the Jersey Community Hospital where he had been a patient for two days. Mrs. Harry Blish was the reader at the service and burial was in Oak Grove cemetery. Mr. Kadell was born in Jerseyville, April 20, 1881, a son of the late Valentine and Willamena Shrader Kadell. His age at the time of death was seventy-eight years, four months and twenty eight days. The decedent is survived by one brother, Louis Kadell of Jerseyville; one sister, Mrs. Mary Westerhold of Jerseyville, and nieces and nephews.
