WEISER — Services for Thomas Woodward Archibald, 89, a Weiser resident for 53 years, who died Friday morning at a Weiser hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Weiser Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Larry Hansen. Interment will be at Hillcrest.
Mr. Archibald was born April 24, 1882, at Wellsville, Utah, the son of Alexander R. and Margaret Woodward Archibald. He was married to Florence R. Haslam in November, 1905, at the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple. The couple farmed in Utah until 1918 when they moved to farm on the Weiser flat. They lived there until he retired in 1948, when they moved into town. Mrs. Archibald died May 9, 1969. Mr. Archibald was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Laurel J. (Edith) Anderson, Weiser: a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Glenn, Wellsville, Utah; three half-brothers, Charles Archibald, Magna, Utah, George Archibald, Ogden, and Ferrand Archibald, Honolulu, Hawaii; five grand-children, 23 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
A son, Thomas H. Archibald preceded him in death.
