Della was born Adele Doris Stadler. Her parents are Henreitta Havner and Alsen M. Stadler. She married well known plastic surgeon, Dr. Luis Philander Berne. They had one son, Allison Lincoln "Allan" Berne. Her husband Dr. Berne died from a heart attack while performing surgery on a patient. She remarried the famous Charles Albert Levine. In 1961 Della married Sidney Freund, a businessman. What an exciting life Della lived.
