Fox, a transportation engineer, died Nov. 28, 2007 at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital. He served in the 5th Army Corps in Chafee, Ark., from January 1951 through September 1952 during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by son Gary Wayne Fox, daughter Melinda Faye Fox, brother Buddy Fox, and sister Christine Cobb.
He is survived by a son Billy Fox and his wife Mary Jo of Kosciusko; daughters Jean Ducady and her husband John of Montgomery, Ala., Cathy Ellington and her husband Jimmy of Kosciusko, Joyce West and her husband Jimmy of Weir; brother, Tommy Fox of Mineral Springs, Ga.; sisters, Tanis Sills of Jackson and Shirley Purdon of Itoka, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and longtime companion Vuna Summerlin.
Rev. Grady Bailey officiated.
Pallbearers were Jamie Ellington, Eric Fox, Jimmy West, Anthony Mancell, Todd Fox and Mike Cobb.
