Dorothy Ellen Figuerido, also known as Dottie, 84, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away on May 23rd, 2021.
Born in Millville, Massachusetts on December 5th, 1936, she was born to William Figuerido and Frances Figuerido and grew up with six of her beloved siblings. Dorothy was married to Aldor Roland Beauregard, whom she later divorced, sharing six children together.
Dorothy worked as a Bellsouth telephone operator for one of her first jobs. She also worked as a manager at the Fairlanes Bowling Alley for many years, where she was adored by so many for her kindness, hard work, and excellent service.
Dorothy enjoyed cooking, reading, sewing, playing bingo, watching Family Feud and cooking shows, and spending time with her family and loved ones the most. She will be remembered for her silly songs and sayings, her charming wit and humor, her timeless stories and hilarious jokes, but mostly for her selflessness and the ways she always put others first, her ability to make others smile, the ways she brightens a room with her sweetness, and her unconditionally kind, loving, and giving heart.
Dorothy is survived by her children Marc, Mary Ann, Michelle, Michael, and Matthew. She also is survived by her 10 grandkids, 7 great-grandchildren, many beloved nieces and nephews, and her siblings Bobby and Mary.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her daughter Marlene, who was so dearly loved by her mother and all of her family when she left too soon.
The viewing will be held on June 2nd, 2021, from 4-8pm at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home located at 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, Florida, 33024; their phone number is 954-210-5275. There will be prayers held at 7pm from deacon Carl Carieri along with any speeches.
