He moved to Dinuba in 1904. He had lived in Kingsburg since 1919. He and his wife operated Ball's Department Store in Kingsburg for 50 years. He was instrumental in the formation of the Kingsburg American Legion Post 191. He was a member of the church, Kingsburg Golf and Country Club, Kingsburg Gun Club, and the Kingsburg Historical Society. Surviving are a son, John Edginton of Berkeley; two brothers, Eugene of Dinuba and Virgil of La Mesa; and two sisters, Etta Mason of Fresno and Annie Conger of Dinuba.
