Carolyn M. Hokanson, age 80, of Burton died Saturday, October 23, 2021 peacefully at Emmanuel Community Loving Hands in Lapeer, Michigan.

Carolyn was born in Flint, Michigan at St. Joseph Hospital on July 3, 1941 to George and Vera Attenberger. She married Blanchard M. Hokanson on November 20, 1958 in Flint, Michigan. Carolyn worked for Hatfield Jewelers, Village Four Boutique, in retail and taught ceramic classes. She did needle point, crocheting, knitting, sewing, photography, gardening, canning, and won wards in ceramics. She loved to travel and loved living in Michigan and Arizona. While in Arizona she learned card crafting, and line dancing. She had many friends, made friends easily, was very kind hearted and loved animals. She will be missed by all who knew her. Carolyn was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She and Blanchard were Baptized on October 31, 1998 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was a loving mother of four children. A special thanks to Naomi, Samual, Silvia and Stephany for caring for Carolyn.

Survived by Sister Ellen (Kennith) Williams, Daughters Ginger (Roger) Newborn, Teresa, Son Jeff, 6 grandchildren James (Jessica), Matthew, Renee (Joshua), Megan (Joey), Kelsey (Dario), Patrick (Amanda), 5 great grandchildren James, Logan, Elijah, Cadence, Adair, brother-in-laws Marlyn, Clifford, sister-in-law Esther, cousin's, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents, sister Rose Marie, brothers Richard, Ronald, husband Blanchard and son James. A
