Charlotte laughed and loved; she greeted everyone with a hug and a smile. She loved her family and all that touched her life. If she loved you, you would be the recipient of anything she could do for you. Charlotte embraced life's gifts and lived in a perpetual state of awe at the wonders of the universe.

Born in Corpus Christi, TX and raised primarily in Corona Del Mar, Newport, CA, she adored the beach, and the sounds of the ocean. Charlotte knew hundreds of songs and absolutely loved to sing, even though many claimed she couldn't carry a note. At College of the Desert, Palm Springs where she studied theatre, her music teacher told her she was his biggest challenge ever. She was the only person he had ever known who could be singing and change notes and keys in the middle of the word. This exemplifies her spirit: She never let them get her down. She personified perseverance, determination, and passion. At one time a hang gliding pilot, actor, director and stage manager, she traveled the world and enthusiastically embraced adventure. She was fearless and stubborn--it took two monstrous diseases to take her down, and she fought them with her very last breath.

She is survived by two brothers and a sister; her children; her former-but-forever-devoted-to-husband; her beautiful grandchildren; and the hundreds of friends and adopted children she has collected over the past 74 years. There is not a recipient of her love that is not deeply affected by this loss.

A celebration of her love-filled life will be held at Coffinger Park; 175 Swilling Avenue; Wickenburg; October 31, 12 p.m.
