J. Nile Clark
J. Nile Clark, passed away October 26, 2021, at home after a battle with cancer and congestive heart failure. He was 81 years old.
Nile was born on May 6, 1940, the 9th of ten children, to Raymond and Gladys Clark in Buhl, Idaho. Nile graduated from Buhl High School and Brigham Young University with a degree in accounting. He served an LDS mission for two years in New Zealand before coming home and meeting Patricia Kimball at BYU. They were married August 12, 1965, in the Idaho Falls, Idaho temple.
After college, Nile worked for H&R Block in Salt Lake City before moving to Boise, where he owned 25 franchises from Mountain Home, Idaho, to LaGrande, Oregon. After 20 years with H&R Block, he left with five of his employees and opened Comprehensive Tax Service. When his daughter Kelly joined him in 1989, they left CTI and opened Nile Clark & Associates, where he worked up until the last day of tax season this past spring.
After growing up on a farm, farming was in his blood. He farmed in Meridian and Emmett as well as 88 acres in Kuna, which is still farmed today by his son Curt. He raised cattle, alfalfa, oats, pigs, and wheat.
He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he had many callings.
He is survived by children, Kelly Clark, Curt (Erika) Clark, Kris Singleton, Kimberly (Brian) LaBerteaux; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Ruby and Dorene; and brother Glen. He is preceded in death by his wife Pat, his parents, brothers Clinton, Sylvan, Don, Joe and Darwin, and sister Vaudis.
Services will be held Friday, November 5 at 10am at the LDS church located at 5751 S Five Mile Road, Boise, Idaho. Viewing will be held prior to services at 9am. Burial will immediately follow at the Kuna Cemetery.
