RAY, Rita Marie (nee Cozort), of Dittmer, Missouri, was born March 8, 1947 in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas to Edgar and Artie (nee Dawson) Cozort and entered into rest Saturday, February 6, 2021 at her residence at the age of 73 years, 10 months, 29 days.

She is preceded in death by, her parents and

one (1) son, Steven Brian Ray.

She is survived by,

her ex-husband and good friend, Norval Ray,

one (1) daughter, Sherry (Duane) Weber, of High Ridge, Missouri,

four (4) grandchildren, Daniel Weber, Shawn (Trisha) Weber, Julie French, Jennifer Selby,

four (4) great-grandchildren, Morgan French, Trystin French, Trey French, Lily Selby,

one (1) great-great-grandchild, Blayne French,

two (2) great-granddogs, Gunner and Huxley,

along with numerous extended family and friends.

Rita was a hard worker, dedicated mother and loving grandmother. She volunteered as a paramedic at Big River Ambulance District through the 70's before dedicating years of service as a rural postal carrier. She retired in 2007. She was an owner of Moxis Bar in Cedar Hill in the 80's. She also spent time working at Ott Automotive. She loved to entertain, singing karaoke, and even had her own equipment that she would take to local bar and grills. She enjoyed poker and loved cars. Among her favorites were her 1964 Corvette and 1964 Cadillac. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Arrangements handled by CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Hwy 30 Cedar Hill, MO 63016. Memorial services held privately at a later date.
