Mr. Elsberry died Jan. 4 in a house fire in Houston. He was 39.
Born Dec. 21, 1956, in Los Angeles, Mr. Elsberry moved to Oregon in 1959 with his family. He graduated from Forest Grove High School in 1975.
He attended Rexburg College and Southern Oregon State College, then served in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Elsberry worked as an inspector for Precision CastParts and as a manager for Glen Walters Nursery. In 1990 he moved to Houston, where he worked for M.Q.S.
Survivors are his son, Kyle Broadhurst of Milwaukie; brothers, Steven of Portland and Gary of Perth, Australia; and sisters, Idona Baumann of Forks, Wash., and Connie Hull of Grand Junction, Colo.
