HALLOWEEN PRANKS ENDS IN DEATH FOR 9-YEAR-OLD SARAH REISMAN
Halloween roistering brought death to 9-year-old Sarah Reisman, of 179 Rowena street, as she darted across St. Antoine street near Renton street masquerading in a white sheet and cap during the hight (sic) of the festivity Saturday night and was struck by two motorists, whose machine carried her 25 yards, and dashed on, leaving her dead in the street.

The youngster carried a basket on her arm and had been romping up and down the street with a group of companions, chattering with the tradespeople and celebrating the night begging presents. John C. Ourda, a baker, had just given her some buns. She scampered into the street without seeing the southbound autoists that bore down on her.

The Reisman's girl's skull was fractured and life was extinct when they picked her up. Her father is Max Reisman, a painter at 179 Rowena street.

*NOTE: Halloween was celebrated that year on Saturday, Oct 30, because the 31st was on a Sunday.
