"TROY, KS-Saturnino L. "JD" Dominguez Jr., 59, Troy, passed away at his home on March 14, 2011.

Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 18, at the Troy Christian Church and the Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the Troy Community Center on Last Chance Road. Another memorial service will be held at a later date in Safford, Ariz.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Troy Christian Church or Kendallwood Hospice.

JD was born in Morenci, Ariz., and raised in Thatcher, Ariz.

He met his wife, Jana, while working for Vision-Quest, a program for juvenile delinquents. They moved to St. Joseph in 1989 with their one year old son, Andrew, where JD owned and operated NOVUS Windshield Repair. Their second son, Daniel, was born in 1992 and in January, 1994, they moved to Troy, Kan., where they raised their children.

JD was owner and operator of Northwest RV and Mini Storage in St. Joseph. He was a member of the Troy Christian Church and past member of Sertoma Club in St. Joseph. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He took great pride in his summer lawn care and his winter Christmas light decorations. He was a dedicated father and supported his sons' high school activities, as well as their current college endeavors. He and his wife were married for 23 years. JD was know for his kindness and willingness to help others.

JD was preceded in death by his parents, Saturnino and Juanita Dominguez.

Survivors include his wife, Jana; and sons, Andrew and Daniel of Troy; son, Greg of Safford, Ariz.; one brother, Henry; three sisters, Frances, Rachael, and Lupe; two grandchildren, Dillan and Austin; numerous nieces and nephews; cousins; and his aunt, Cande Molina, all of Arizona.
