FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN BAY CITY

Funeral services were held for Chester Ray Bingham at his home in Essexville and at the Gladwin Methodist Church on Saturday, October 18th.

Mr. Bingham died Tuesday, October 14th at the Bay City Mercy hospital following a weeks illness. He was born in Paulding, Ohio, January 20, 1901 and was a resident of Gladwin county before moving to Essexville six years ago. He is survived by his wife, Carrie May and four children, Joseph, Walter, Agnes and Betty, all at home, his mother, Mary Duggan of Gladwin, a brother Leroy of Essexville and two sisters, Mrs. George Whitman of Ontonagon and Mrs. Ralph Ockerman of Gladwin.

Rev. Floyd N. Drake officiated at the services. Mr. and Mrs. George Witmer of Clare sang two approriate gospel hymns, accompanied by Miss Dorothy Kleinhart of Clare. The burial was in Grout cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 10-22/1941
