Jimmie Rayvon Auton, 78, of Hickory passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at Carolina Caring, Sherrills Ford, NC. He was born May 2, 1943 in Alexander County, NC the son of the late Lee Auton and Edna Daniels Auton. He was a machine operator in the furniture industry prior to his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sheliah H. Auton in 2018; brothers, Vonteener Auton, Durant Auton, Bobbie Auton, Walter Auton and sister, Lue Dell Harrington.
He is survived by:
Sons: Stanley Auton and girlfriend, Dawn Greer of Hickory and Curtman Auton and wife, Elizabeth of N. Wilkesboro
Sisters: Judy Barnes, Linda Dagenhardt, Elaine Hamlin and Effie Deal all of Taylorsville
Brothers: Frankie Auton and Danny Joe Auton both of Taylorsville
Grandchildren: Blake Baker and wife, Rindy; Brittney Auton and boyfriend, Robert; Lucus Auton; Phoebe Auton and Eli Bivins
Great grandchildren: Braydon Baker; Addie Mae Bost; Josh Bost and Robbie Bost

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in the Burke Mortuary Chapel in Newton with Pastor John Abernethy officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:30 to 5:45 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
Burial will be held privately.
