Her first marriage was to Dr. George Augustus Pierce. They were married Feb. 9, 1859, but their marriage later ended in divorce. They had two children in this marriage - Esther Henrietta Pierce (b. Nov. 11, 1860) and Henry Asa Pierce (b. March 25, 1863 d. Sept. 6, 1867). (Thank you EBdeebee)

Henrietta married her 2nd husband, Charles DeWolf Brownell, in 1865, and they had four sons.
