Services for Elizabeth Carolyn Gower Acey, 87, of Carrollton, who died of heart failure Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, at her home, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Teoc.

Mrs. Acey was a homemaker. A native of Yazoo City, she resided in Carroll County for most of her life. She was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church. Her family says that she was a devoted wife and mother, and that she enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Clifton Acey.

She is survived by three sons, Eugene "Buddy" Acey and Charles Acey, both of Carrollton, and John Wayne Acey of Santa Fe, Texas; six daughters, Mary Castilla and Patricia McClain, both of Carrollton, Barbara Smith of Moorhead, Linda Logue of Byhalia, Debra Acey of Horn Lake and Donna Wenger of North Carrollton; a stepson, Paul Acey of Jackson; 22 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Gary Tanner and the Rev. Scott Hudson will officiate at the services.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bryan Castilla, Scott Acey, Shannon Acey, Justin Acey, Dale McClain, William Smith, Wesley Holmes and Tim Bailey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny McClain, Hayes Smith, Kent Wenger, Fred Logue and Bill Shaw.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 this evening at Lee Funeral Home in Winona.
